Job summary

Tencarva Machinery Company, LLC, in Macon, GA, is seeking a reliable mechanic to repair, rebuild, and test industrial pumps and rotating equipment. You’ll perform tear-downs, inspections, and final testing to OEM specifications, and support remanufacturing work beyond routine maintenance.

You should have 2+ years of hands-on experience, read mechanical drawings, and be skilled in precision measurement and basic machining.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on industrial pump repair, rebuild, or rotating equipment service experience.
• Able to complete full tear-downs and rebuilds from inspection through testing.
• Experience with centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps preferred.
• Manual machining experience is strongly preferred.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and repair documentation.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose failures in industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
• Perform complete tear-downs, repairs, rebuilds, and remanufacturing work to OEM specifications.
• Replace bearings, seals, shafts, impellers, wear components, and other repair parts.
• Perform laser alignment and other precision mechanical measurements.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, parts diagrams, manuals, and OEM documentation.
• Test, inspect, and verify equipment performance following repair completion.
• Perform limited manual machining as needed to support rebuild work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
