Job summary

KFI Engineers in Fargo, ND seeks a Project & Field Services Lead for the Industrial group to bridge design and field execution through the full lifecycle. You will oversee field activities, ensure structural and MEP integrity, maintain safety, and manage subcontractors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 10 years in design, installation, or commissioning of MEP systems in heavy industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the design, installation, operation, or commissioning of MEP systems.
• Knowledge of heavy industrial sectors such as agribusiness, biofuels, ethanol, or chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/process piping, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, MEP commissioning, civil/structural construction, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Review design and field documents to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Drive project deliverables, schedules, and cost management across procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Lead field execution, inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities including checkout and startup readiness.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors to meet safety and quality standards.
