Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Executive to lead the Industrial Business Unit’s high-profile design-build projects across the nation. You will secure new business, manage client relationships, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with the highest safety standards.

You bring 20+ years in construction, a track record of $50M+ projects, and a Seller/Doer mindset. You will mentor teams, oversee design through construction, and contribute to strategic growth for Clayco's Industrial sector.

Qualifications

• 20–25 years of progressive construction experience.
• Experience managing large design-build projects valued at $50M+.
• Excellent leadership and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Lead the RFQ/RFP response process, including developing pursuit strategies, managing design and preconstruction efforts, overseeing communication and marketing, and presenting to clients.
• Serve as the primary executive contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle and fostering long-term relationships that lead to repeat business.
• Identify and recruit top talent for project teams and ensure proper scope education and smooth transitions from design to construction.
• Provide executive oversight during construction to ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Mentor and inspire teams of construction professionals, fostering leadership growth and a high-performing workforce.
• Collaborate with operations teams on critical activities, including major trade buyouts and early design-phase tasks.
• Contribute to broader strategic goals of the Industrial Business Unit by identifying opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
