Job summary

JR Merit, Inc. is seeking Project Engineers at the I, II, or III level to support projects within our Vancouver, WA office. You will join project and field teams to plan, coordinate, track, and deliver work while building technical and leadership skills for long-term growth.

Ideal candidates have foundational skills in estimating, scheduling, procurement, project controls, and field coordination, with opportunities to advance toward Project Manager roles. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction/engineering.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with project teams, field teams, clients, and vendors.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity takeoffs, proposal development, project setup, accounting, procurement, production tracking, budget forecasting, risk management, safety, and quality.
• Read plans and specifications to understand final construction outcomes.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and engage with customers.
• Mentor and train others in areas of proficiency.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software.
• Support change management on projects.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners.
