Job summary

Interactive Resources is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Industrial Project Manager to support engineering, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements at a large industrial facility in Florida. This hands-on role focuses on execution rather than large capital programs, with projects from about $50K and varying timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline as listed.
• 7+ years of experience in project engineering or industrial project management in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of structural steel construction, maintenance, repair and rehab practices.
• Experience managing contractors, budgets, schedules, procurement, and field execution.
• Understanding of equipment, mechanical systems, plant infrastructure, and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with cost controls, capital authorization, and project reporting.
• Knowledge of industrial safety requirements and risk management.
• Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP) or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from scope through execution, commissioning and closeout.
• Support structural steel, mechanical systems, plant equipment, and facility infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with plant engineering, maintenance, operations, EHS, procurement and contractors.
• Develop scopes, budgets, estimates, schedules and execution plans for $50K+ projects.
• Oversee contractors, construction activities, equipment installations and maintenance work.
• Provide hands-on technical oversight and troubleshooting during execution.
• Support mechanical integrity, asset reliability, and process safety initiatives.
• Manage expenditures, schedules, documentation, and status reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, engineering and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate equipment commissioning, startup and turnover to operations.
