Job summary

Hussey Copper is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and capital projects at our Leetsdale, PA facility. This hands-on role partners with operations, maintenance, contractors, and leadership to implement equipment and process improvements that support growth and performance.

You will guide projects from conception through commissioning, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited university.
• Experience managing capital projects in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals: scope, budgeting, scheduling, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and expense projects from initiation through commissioning and closeout.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for newly installed equipment.
• Lead hands-on engineering projects from development through installation and execution on the production floor.
• Develop project scopes, specifications, schedules and WBS, budgets, resource plans, and change management plans.
• Build and lead cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor project performance against schedules and budgets and report to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks across the lifecycle.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and direction to maintenance and operations.
• Develop SOPs and oversee operational readiness and training.
• Drive ROI and coordinate activities across departments and external contractors.
