Job summary

Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a Workforce Program Specialist to oversee workforce participants and inmates at Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI) sites and in the community. The role involves supervising production in a manufacturing setting, maintaining security, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.

The position requires supervision experience and a focus on program integrity, with opportunities to help participants gain credentials

Qualifications

• Supervises workforce participants and community-based work crews at ACI work sites.
• Maintains safety and security through site, vehicle, pat, and strip searches.
• Oversees production activities and workforce conduct in manufacturing centers.
• Coordinates with Regional Operations and Workforce Development Managers to align workforce with production schedules.
• Reviews work output and conducts performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises workforce participants and community-based work crews at ACI work sites
• Maintains safety and security of participants and work crews
• Oversees production activities and workforce conduct in manufacturing centers
• Coordinates with Regional Operations and Workforce Development Managers to align workforce efforts with production schedules
• Reviews work output, provides coaching, and administers performance evaluations and discipline when necessary
• Monitors contractor compliance with ACI contract obligations
• Drives/state vehicle transport as needed
• Assists participants in gaining credentials and apprenticeship opportunities
• Gathers and submits incident and performance reports
• Partner with Training and Education Manager for post-release employment opportunities
