Job summary

CMC is seeking a hands-on fabrication professional to join our team in Nashville. You will train on equipment, assist in loading and unloading fabricated rebar, and maintain a clean, safe work area while mentoring teammates on proper operation.

You will operate multiple fabrication machines, participate in safety programs, and potentially lead the team in the supervisor’s absence, ensuring adherence to established procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to read technical documents and service manuals.
• Ability to write job instructional training documents.
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Mentor and train team members on proper equipment use.
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Serve as the leadman in his/her absence, as necessary.
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.
