Qualifications

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with contract language and terms and conditions.
• Working knowledge of Incoterms.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office.
• ASME code materials knowledge is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
• Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for project materials.
• Verify specifications, quantities, and purchasing requirements.
• Track purchase orders and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Receiving to ensure accurate material receipt.
• Allocate inventory and order non-stock materials via ERP.
• Arrange freight and assist with freight claims.
• Monitor inventory and assist with year-end audits.
• Maintain procurement records and vendor cost information.
• Monitor vendor performance on quality, delivery, pricing, terms.
• Identify bottlenecks and help implement solutions.
• Resolve vendor, contract, and supplier-related issues.
