Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader of automation systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Reliability Specialist to join our fast paced, customer-oriented team. We need someone who enjoys taking the initiative to produce timely and accurate results! The successful candidate will apply and implement predictive technologies for the successful execution of reliability service contracts.

Reliability Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and concise reports on recommendations for repairs and urgency for problems identified
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques, knowledge in spectral, time waveform, and Peakvue analysis
  • Able to setup vibration routes for routine monitoring on diverse plant equipment and provide database maintenance on a regular and consistent basis
  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge and experience in balancing rotating equipment and laser alignment on complex machine trains
  • Able to plan, schedule and manage travel, appointments, and activities independently, willing to work off hours as required by customers
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Make difficult decisions independently in ambiguous situations
  • Provide coaching to reliability technicians on technical and non-technical skills and sign off on qualifications
  • Act as a subject matter expert in at least two predictive technologies other than vibration
  • Provide input and guidance to quoting team for creating customer proposals
  • Provide guidance and coaching to customers on technical skills and Reliability Program development
  • Create procedures and work instructions
  • Maintaining good customer relationships and assist team leadership and sales team in assessing and maintaining a best-in-class customer experience

Requirements

Reliability Specialist Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma required
  • Vibration Analysis Category I Certification required
  • Vibration Analysis Category II Certification preferred
  • Experience with multiple predictive technologies preferred
  • Experience with Asset Management/Reliability programs and associated software & service programs preferred

Reliability Specialist Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional team player with a solution focus
  • Ability to comply with customer site safety regulations
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and extended hours

Reliability Specialist Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in loud industrial environments

Reliability Specialist Pay:

  • Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000
  • Bonus potential: 5%
