Job summary

Mannington Mills, Inc. is hiring a Die Press Operator to run orders on the Die Presses, set up and troubleshoot equipment, and meet productivity and quality goals. You will record data, maintain clean workstations, and coordinate with the Die Press Lead and Shift Manager to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be prepared to work flexible or extended hours including weekends/holidays.
• Good organizational skills.
• Must be quality conscious.
• Team-oriented and able to lead by example.
• Able to coordinate with Packers during changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting/adjustments.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and SAP; familiar with HMI.
• Able to operate pallet jacks, forklift and other industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of Mannington products, materials movement and quality processes.
• Able to read millimeters and inches; good math skills.
• Capable of using an RF gun.

Responsibilities

• Load and set up Die Press and Bevel Line for varying sizes and gauges as required by each order.
• Operate and load material into the die press per Standard Work Instructions.
• Monitor material quality at all stages of processing.
• Record run condition and quality data per Mannington specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of workstations.
• Perform the Die Press Packer position when needed.
• Report defects to management and QA; collaborate to eliminate defects from equipment.
• Communicate equipment issues to Maintenance to reduce downtime.
