ITAC in Chester, VA seeks an Industrial Painter/Powder Coater to apply paint and powder coating to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes and compliance with safety standards.

The role involves surface preparation, applying primers, maintaining equipment, and supporting other manufacturing tasks as needed. A minimum of 1 year in industrial powder coating and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial powder coating.
• Knowledge of different paints, finishes, and application techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with automated coating systems is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparing surfaces for painting, including blasting as needed.
• Applying paint and powder coatings using appropriate tools and methods.
• Maintaining painting equipment and ensuring proper calibration.
• Cleaning work areas and disposing of chemicals per safety policies.
• Maintaining records of coated parts and colors.
• Assisting other manufacturing departments as directed by management.
• Adhering to all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Moving racks and loading parts into ovens for curing.
