Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States is seeking a skilled plumber for maintenance and installation of mechanical utility piping and HVAC systems. The role involves working with hot water, chilled water, steam, and air systems, plus ascending ladders and lifts.

You will collaborate with contractors and ensure safety and code compliance across sites. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and a year of basic plumbing experience; a plumbing certificate and two years of commercial plumbing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of basic plumbing work experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• 2 years of commercial plumbing work experience and a plumbing training certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair pipes, fixtures, and valves for water, gas, steam, and air systems.
• Install supports for pipes and fixtures prior to installation.
• Assemble fittings and valves for installation.
• Modify lengths of pipes and fixtures as needed.
• Use saws and pipe cutters as necessary.
• Install heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters.
• Coordinate with contractors and other trades for installation and repair work.
• Inspect plumbing systems and replace worn parts.
• Test systems for leaks and problems.
• Follow health and safety standards and local codes.
