Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. in Seabrook, NJ is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation PLC Specialist. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facilities, with programming changes as needed.

Expect a pay range of $34.60–$51.90 hourly plus annual bonus, depending on experience and location. The EI/PLC Technician will work to improve production results, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and access control

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years experience in a continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environment with automated equipment.
• Able to operate forklift, manlift and basic power tools.
• Strong math abilities to calculate times, speeds, temperatures, etc.
• Ability to work as a team under demanding circumstances.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong time management skills.
• Remote access for control logic 24/7 ability exists.

Responsibilities

• Perform Electrical and PLC tasks including calibration, monitoring, repair and maintenance of transmitters, controllers, safety systems, power systems and sensors.
• Install and maintain PLCs using communication software, preferably Allen Bradley controllers.
• Study and record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency.
• Install, calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and related controls.
• Program and setup variable frequency drives.
• Set up remote access to control logic system in the plant, 24/7.
• Coordinate with management, production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize equipment use and processes.
• Read drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications for installations.
• Work with outside contractors and vendors to obtain parts and knowledge.
• Train maintenance and production personnel; support safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and complete required paperwork.
