Job summary

SIMONA PMC in Findlay, OH is seeking a Maintenance and Electrical Controls Technician to support plant uptime. This 100% floor-based role responds to equipment breakdowns, performs preventive maintenance, and assists with project tasks while troubleshooting PLCs and electrical systems.

Ideal candidates have strong problem-solving skills, 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience, and familiarity with RSLogix 5000, HMI, and VFDs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred.
Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Demonstrated经验 with PLC troubleshooting and industrial electrical systems.
Working knowledge of RSLogix 5000 or similar programming environments.
Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
Basic welding and fabrication skills.
Lean, 5S and Root Cause Analysis is a plus.
Familiarity with CMMS platforms for logging repairs, PMs, and work orders.

Responsibilities

Real-Time Equipment Support & Troubleshooting: respond to breakdowns and perform on-the-spot repairs to restore production.
PLC and Electrical Control Support: diagnose and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and control-related issues; run conduit and terminate cabling.
Preventive Maintenance and Continuous Improvement: perform scheduled PMs; document activities in CMMS; identify recurring issues and propose corrective actions.
Project and Fabrication Work: assist in machinery installations and facility improvement projects; light welding and fabrication.
Safety & Communication: follow safety protocols; attend daily shift meetings and status updates.
