Job summary

Matheson Tri-Gas in Middletown, Ohio is seeking a Performance Technician responsible for maintaining and improving plant performance. The role is typically non-shift, with occasional after-hours work to support plant operations and safety.

You will perform mechanical, instrument and electrical maintenance, read drawings, troubleshoot process upsets, calibrate analytical equipment, and ensure compliance with FDA/OSHA quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, Technical School or related industrial experience.
• 1-3 years Compressors, pumps, valves and expanders, also Instrument & electrical testing equipment.
• Basic Computer skills.
• On call for plant needs of any kind, (Personnel, Equipment, Customer problems)

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust air separation controls to meet specifications.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical test equipment.
• Troubleshoot process upsets and take corrective actions.
• Read and interpret P&ID drawings and process drawings.
• Support startup and shutdown of plants safely.
• Maintain safety practices and record production data.
