City Facilities Management (FL) LLC is seeking a Trades Instructor in Seattle, WA, to deliver hands-on and classroom training on industrial piping, steam, boilers, and water distribution. The role supports a Boeing Plant 2 site and helps manage apprenticeship programs.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of industrial trades experience, a Master/Journeyman Plumber license, and strong mentoring and instructional skills. Travel may be required, and evenings may be scheduled for classes and labs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial plumbing, steam, piping, or related mechanical trades.
• Deep knowledge of piping systems, valves, steam distribution, boilers, and water systems.
• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial plumbing, steam, boilers, piping systems.
• Experience with various piping materials and installation methods.
• Ability to train and mentor adult learners.
• Strong presentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Flexible schedule including periodic evening instruction for apprenticeships.
• Comfortable in classroom and hands-on lab settings.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on training in industrial process plumbing and steam systems.
• Participate in the HVAC/Plumbing Apprenticeship Program.
• Assist instructors with course delivery, labs, curriculum, assessments, and training-center operations.
• Instruct on piping materials and systems (steel, stainless, copper, plastic, threaded, welded, grooved).
• Teach operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of valves (Cla-Val, PRVs, control, isolation).
• Provide training on steam, condensate, hot water, and industrial water distribution systems.
• Support occasional evening/second-shift sessions for apprenticeships and technical programs.
• Support development and continuous improvement of training materials and safety practices.
