Job summary

ASR Group in Chalmette, Louisiana, is seeking a No.1 Pipefitter to install, connect, maintain and repair pipelines and related equipment in an industrial facility. The role requires welding with stick, TIG, and MIG methods and the ability to read blueprints and plans.

Starting hourly rate is $36.38 and includes paid vacation and sick time after probation. The position demands physical fitness, lifting up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, with adherence to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial pipe fabrication and welding experience.
• Experience with stick, TIG and MIG welding methods.

Responsibilities

• Performs complicated industrial installation, connection, maintenance and repair of pipelines and plumbing fixtures.
• Plans major and difficult installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications.
• Lays out piping and calculates take offs and pipefitting measurements.
• Completes welds on steel, stainless steel and other related metals using stick/mig methods.
• Works in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.
