Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pipe fitting experience.
• Industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Ability to read technical manuals and manuals/instructions.
• Must provide own general hand tools.
• Ability to read weld symbols and procedures.
• OSHA safety awareness and practices.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities and material specs.
• Select pipe type and size and related materials per specifications.
• Cut, thread, bend and assemble pipes.
• Fabricate, layout, fit and assemble piping components in various positions.
• Bolt and clamp parts to secure for welding.
• Install hangers, supports, valves and components per plans.
• Perform leak tests to ensure pipe system integrity.
• Operate tools (grinders, drills, beveling machine) safely.
• Work with limited supervision; support hoisting for critical lifts.
• Hoist loads with slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables and rigging equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
