Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group is seeking a seasoned Pipefitter to layout, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems at industrial sites in San Antonio, TX. Work includes reading piping isometrics, P&IDs, and construction drawings to accurately fit components within project specs.

The role requires hands-on experience with various piping materials, adherence to safety standards, and ability to work OT and travel as needed on refinery or petrochemical projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant industrial pipefitting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with layout, fit-up, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial piping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, construction drawings, specifications, spool drawings, and work packages.
• Pipefitting calculations, measurements, offsets, elevations, centerlines, and layout.
• Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, flanges, supports, and related components.
• Experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, LNG, power generation, or heavy industrial facilities preferred.
• Completion of pipefitting apprenticeship or equivalent preferred.
• TWIC or ability to obtain one when required.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, modify, and repair industrial piping systems per drawings and specs.
• Read piping isometrics, P&IDs, and construction documents to perform work.
• Measure, cut, bevel, fit, and assemble pipe, fittings, and components.
• Calculate and lay out piping offsets, elevations, and centerlines for proper installation.
• Position and align piping components for fit-up and welding.
• Install and align valves, flanges, fittings, piping supports and hangers.
• Verify dimensions and component placement before final assembly or welding.
• Assist with testing, inspection, flushing, and turnover activities as needed.
• Follow safety policies and participate in pre-task planning and toolbox talks.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and communicate safety concerns.
