Qualifications

• Must have 4 years of verifiable experience as a pipe welder in industrial construction.
• Must have a working knowledge of blueprints and weld symbols.
• Must fully understand the safety procedures for each weld.

Responsibilities

• Weld both carbon and stainless steel pipe in open-root V-groove joints.
• Clean base metal for welding and set up welding current.
• Collaborate with QC/QA for non-destructive examinations.

Skills

Verifiable experience as a pipe welder

Ability to certify through quality assurance welding program

Understanding of blueprints and weld symbols

Knowledge of safety procedures for welding

Ability to weld in various positions using different methods
