Job summary

Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) is seeking experienced Industrial Journeyman Pipe Fitters to assemble, layout, install, and maintain piping systems on steam, fluid, or gas systems at construction sites.

The role involves working at heights, reading prints, and upholding safety standards on industrial projects. Several lead and apprentice levels are available, requiring NCCER certification and 4+ years of piping experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions
• Knowledge of pipe fitting processes for industrial piping (refineries, chemical plants)
• 4+ years of pipe fitting experience
• Strong problem-solving and math skills
• Good dexterity and manual skills
• Team player with good communication
• Commitment to safety rules and Richard values

Responsibilities

• Read engineered drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and materials
• Identify tools required for tasks
• Identify safety risks and precautions
• Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications
• Install valves, hangers, and supports inside piping system
• Perform hydrotests to ensure pipe system quality
• Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and rigging equipment
