Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Pipe Fitter for industrial construction projects in the Richmond area. You will install, assemble, and modify piping systems using carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys, reading isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication plans while coordinating with field crews.

Work involves rigging, testing, and ensuring alignment, with opportunities at multiple job sites; the role requires 3-5 years of experience, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to travel as

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a pipe fitter.
• Able to read isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication plans.
• Must be able to travel to multiple job sites as assigned.
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interprets sketches, blue prints and isometric drawings.
• Cleans, bevels, prepares and installs pipe with fittings and weld joints.
• Performs layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings.
• Installs pipe and related materials and equipment.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plan sequence of installation.
• Cuts pipe with pipe cutter, torch and cutting machine.
• Threads pipe using threading machine.
• Secures pipes to structures with brackets, clamps and hangers.
• Tests piping systems.
