Job summary

A heavy civil and industrial construction company based in Virginia is seeking a skilled Pipefitter/Pipelayer to support projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The role involves laying out, fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems, and working with industrial process equipment. Safety and coordination are vital, requiring a commitment to working efficiently as part of a crew. Preferred candidates will have 2–4 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of jobsite safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of verifiable experience working with piping systems in industrial and/or heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, grades, and installation details.
• Experience with underground utility installation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe type, size, and materials according to drawings and job specifications.
• Lay out piping systems and plan installation sequences.
• Cut, thread, fuse, bend, and assemble pipe using tools.
• Install industrial process equipment such as pumps and valves.
• Follow all safety procedures and direction from the foreman.
