Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder. You will lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and weld piping and industrial systems, working with carbon steel and stainless steel across multiple job sites.

Requirements include 3+ years TIG and Stick welding, the ability to pass a pipe welding test, and strong attention to detail. Must be able to travel to various sites and work varied schedules; HS diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of TIG and Stick welding with various techniques
• Must pass required pipe welding test
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedules

Responsibilities

• Recognizes properties of welding rods and fluxes used in welding metals
• Assembles, and installs a variety of metal pipe and pipe fittings (carbon steel and stainless steel)
• Removes slag and rough spots with a portable grinder, file, or scraper
• Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques
• Performs other duties as assigned
