Job summary

International Minerals Carlsbad LLC in Carlsbad, NM is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to support our HR and Payroll team. You will process biweekly and semimonthly payroll for 200 to 500 employees in a 24-hour industrial environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong timekeeping, confidentiality, and collaboration with HR, Finance, and operations. Prior mining/industrial sector payroll experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of payroll experience for 200+ employees.
• Experience with biweekly and semimonthly payroll cycles.
• Experience using Kronos or UKG Workforce for timekeeping.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with wage/hour rules.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate biweekly and semimonthly payrolls for 200–500 employees.
• Review payroll transactions including hires, terminations, promotions, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Audit payroll reports and resolve discrepancies before processing.
• Maintain payroll records in accordance with policies and legal requirements.
• Prepare payroll reports and support year-end activities.
