Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Connersville, Indiana, is seeking a Painter Chipper to prepare and finish Roots Blower components and units on the shop floor using spray or hand-painting equipment. You will follow coating specifications and support quality and EHS requirements in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Training begins on first shift with potential changes to second shift based on seniority and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Reliable attendance and transportation to the Connersville facility.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work first or second shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Commitment to following plant rules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload units on the paint line and prepare components through washing, filing, masking, chipping, and surface preparation.
• Review tags and documentation to identify coating instructions and painting specifications.
• Apply paint and coatings using spray guns, brushes, and approved equipment per quality and EHS requirements.
• Clean and maintain spray and hand-painting equipment and maintain the paint booth per EHS regulations.
• Perform in-process quality checks and complete paint logs and related documentation.
• Record labor transactions and material counts accurately in logs or systems.
• Transport and position units, parts, supplies, and painting materials safely.
