Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking a Painter to prepare wood and metal surfaces and apply coatings across industrial sites. Responsibilities include surface prep, mixing colors, and painting equipment, parts, and buildings using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.

Applicants should have 4 years Journeyman level experience, NCCER certification, and a valid driver’s license. The role may involve climbing and working at heights, with emphasis on safety and productivity at industrial sites.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level experience required (4 years).
• NCCER Certification and valid driver's license required.
• No minimum education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and receive instructions verbally.
• Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, and grease, fill cracks and smooth surfaces.
• Work at heights; may erect scaffolding or set up ladders as needed.
• Apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
• Follow safety procedures and site policies; perform other duties as assigned.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Austin Industries does not sponsor visas.
