Industrial Metal Fabrication in Newton, KS is seeking an Industrial Painter / Sandblaster. Join a team dedicated to safety, quality craftsmanship, and teamwork. This full-time role offers a four-day Mon–Thu schedule with overtime opportunities, company-paid health and life insurance, 3% SIMPLE IRA match, and competitive hourly pay based on experience. You’ll work with structural steel and fabricated products and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial painting or blasting.
• Ability to read paint specifications and shop instructions.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare steel surfaces using cleaning methods and abrasives.
• Apply industrial coatings with airless spray systems or brushes.
• Read and interpret coating specifications and drawings.
• Inspect painted parts for quality and consistency.
• Move materials using forklifts and cranes as required.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.
