TOPS Staffing is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for a growing manufacturing operation. This hands-on role focuses on preparing, blasting, painting, and finishing large steel components used in industrial applications.

The position offers a 4‑day workweek (Tue–Fri), 10‑hour shifts from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime Mondays when available. Starting pay is $20-$23/hour, with potential to reach $24-$27 after hire-in.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting or coating experience.
• Experience with abrasive blasting and surface preparation preferred.
• Experience operating airless or conventional spray equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and coating specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coat fabricated steel and industrial equipment to specifications.
• Remove rust, mill scale, dirt, oil, grease, weld spatter and contaminants.
• Operate abrasive blasting equipment and surface-prep tools.
• Apply coatings using airless and conventional spray equipment.
• Read work orders, drawings, and coating specifications.
• Monitor coating coverage, thickness, and appearance.
• Maintain clean and organized painting and blasting areas.
• Follow all safety requirements and PPE.
