Job summary

Brandon and Clark Inc. is seeking an Industrial Painter in Lubbock, TX to prepare and coat motors, machinery components, and industrial parts using HVLP spray guns and brushes. You will ensure high-quality finishes through multi-coat systems, surface prep, and careful inspection for defects.

Safety procedures and SOP adherence are essential. Ideal candidates have experience painting heavy equipment, knowledge of coatings, and the ability to read specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience painting heavy equipment, automobiles, or related items preferred.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and industrial-grade coatings preferred.
• Proficiency with spray equipment and understanding of spray patterns, coating thickness, and drying times.
• Ability to identify and resolve common paint defects.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Apply coatings with HVLP spray guns, airless sprayers, and brushes to achieve uniform coverage on components of all sizes.
• Perform multi-coat systems, including primers, topcoats, and specialty finishes built for industrial durability.
• Mix and match paints, coatings, and finishes to precise specifications, adjusting viscosity, color, and texture as needed.
• Learn and apply all SOPs for surface prep and painting, and maintain SDS knowledge for chemicals and lubricants.
• Inspect incoming parts for contaminants or defects before painting and inspect finished parts for flaws.
