Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Paint Preparation & Masking technician to prepare surfaces, apply masking, and ensure proper coating adhesion for industrial equipment. You will work with airless spray systems, mix two‑part coatings, and monitor coating thickness to meet internal quality standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished parts, documenting batch data, and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience painting industrial, automotive, or commercial equipment.
Knowledge of airless spray systems and two‑part coating products.
Ability to safely operate man lifts (training provided).
Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, schematics, and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

Perform surface preparation: cleaning, sanding, grinding, degreasing.
Apply masking materials to protect surfaces per drawings or standards.
Inspect surfaces before painting to verify readiness and correct deficiencies.
Mix two‑part coatings following specifications; load and operate spray systems.
Maintain coating thickness and appearance per quality expectations; conduct touch-ups and rework.
