Job summary

F.D. Thomas, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Painter to prepare, coat, and finish surfaces on a variety of heavy industrial projects. You will work to exacting standards, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety at every step.

You will apply and inspect coatings, operate spray equipment, and follow MSDS procedures while maintaining PPE and safe working conditions for a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial painting environments with surface prep and coatings.
• Knowledge of epoxy, polyurethane and zinc-rich primers is preferred.
• Able to read MSDS, procedures and safety instructions.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety, health and environmental directives.

Responsibilities

• Mix and apply coatings manually or via spray, and touch up finishes.
• Prepare surfaces, apply fusion bonded epoxies, and inspect finishes.
• Comply with safety, health, quality, and environmental directives.
• Read directions, supervise hazard analyses, and ensure correct thickness.
• Maintain equipment and assist with safety meetings as needed.
