Job summary

Aerotek in Tennessee is seeking a Full-Time Industrial Painter to mix and apply acrylic enamels and two-part urethanes on metal and other surfaces in a paint booth. You will prepare surfaces, mask areas, operate spray equipment, and perform touch-ups to achieve a high-quality finish.

The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, ability to read specifications, and a team-focused mindset in a fast-paced industrial environment. Shift is days, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial painting and paint prep.
• Ability to mix acrylic enamels and two-part acrylic urethanes.
• Proficiency in surface prep including grinding, sanding, and degreasing.
• Experience operating spray guns and adjusting equipment for finishes.
• Ability to perform touch-up work and maintain safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Mix paints (acrylic enamels, two-part urethanes) to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces (grinding, sanding, rust removal, power washing, degreasing).
• Mask areas to protect surfaces and ensure clean lines.
• Set up and adjust spray equipment (air pressures, nozzles).
• Apply paint with spray guns and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Maintain equipment, booths, and respirators per safety regs.
• Operate forklift to move parts and materials.
• Monitor painting material availability and inventory control.
• Follow safety procedures when working with chemicals.
