Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking experienced Painters for 2nd and weekend shifts in Minnesota. Responsibilities include setting up and operating painting equipment to finish truck bodies, supporting lean initiatives, and collaborating with the team to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Two years’ education or equivalent knowledge in automotive or industrial painting.
• Ability to manually move product and material up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds using overhead hoists.
• Ability to paint in various positions and read instructions, and use measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Painting & operation: Set up and operate painting equipment to apply finish to truck bodies or parts.
• Support continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow.
• Work as part of a team, maintain a clean and organized work area, and adjust equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic data entry as required.
• Learn operations of multiple machines/jigs.

Mon-Thursday 4:14PM-2:45AM
Friday-Sunday 5AM-5PM

Responsibilities

• Painting & Operation: Set up and operate painting equipment to apply finish to truck bodies or individual parts.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively assist with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow.
• Teamwork: Remain flexible to complete tasks as part of the team and offer suggestions for process improvements.
• Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Equipment Management: Determine and make necessary painting equipment adjustments as needed.
• Data Entry: Perform basic computer data entry and read complicated instructions, utilizing measuring devices as required.
• Versatility: Learn the operations of multiple machines and jigs.

Qualifications

• Two year's education or equivalent knowledge in automotive or industrial painting.
• Ability to manually move product and material up to 50 pounds through regular heavy physical exertion, including but not limited to: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending. Using overhead hoists requires ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to paint in a variety of positions including but not limited to: kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning and climbing; while working on concrete surfaces, ladders and inside dump bodies.
• Ability to determine and make painting equipment adjustments as needed, read complicated instructions, use measuring devices and perform basic computer data entry.
• Ability to learn operations of multiple machines/jigs.
• Ability to successfully complete a pulmonary exam and medical questionnaire to be evaluated by the Company appointed PLHCP in order to wear a respirator.
