Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. designs and builds custom electrical, instrument, and pneumatic control panels with a long history dating back to 1957. We are seeking a skilled Grinder/Polisher to join our team and ensure high-quality finishes on our metal components and control panels.

The role focuses on preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and maintaining precision to uphold Panelmatic’s standard of excellence. This on-site position requires the ability to work in demanding environments and to demonstrate

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year or more experience applying industrial coatings or paint.
• Ability to do basic math and calculations.
• Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, sanding and polishing for high-quality finishes.
• Set up and operate painting equipment to apply coatings.
• Select and mix paints and finishes according to project specs.
• Inspect coatings for color accuracy and quality against prints.
• Work in enclosed spaces and heaters as required.
