Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Industrial Painter to prep and coat carbon steel frames and brackets, and to blast small stainless parts using a blast cabinet. You will also perform mechanical tasks when painting demand is low, and work outside of the paint area as needed.

Familiarity with HLVP painting systems and PPE (PAPR, safety gear) is required. Read shop orders, follow instructions, and assist other departments in a fabrication shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial coatings and metal preparation.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Willingness to cross-train on other fabrication disciplines.
• Basic mathematics skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and environmental, health and safety policies.
• Read and interpret shop orders and BOMs; adhere to production work instructions.
• Assist other departments as needed and coordinate with other job classifications.
• Operate power tools such as drills, grinders and saws; stand for long periods.
