Job summary

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking an Industrial Painter to perform high-quality surface preparation and coating applications across diverse industrial settings. The role requires reading specifications, operating airless spray equipment, and maintaining safety at heights.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, can handle abrasive blasting tasks, and can read jobsite requirements. A high school diploma or GED is required; flexible hours and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial surface preparation and coating.
• Experience with industrial airless application required.
• Ability to operate high/reach equipment up to 80 ft; certification preferred.
• Proven experience with abrasive blasting, hand tool cleaning, power-tool cleaning, pressure washing.
• Experience applying industrial coatings using brush, roller, and airless spray equipment.
• Ability to read coating specifications, product data sheets, and jobsite requirements.

Responsibilities

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial surface preparation and coating.
• Experience in industrial airless application required.
• Ability to operate high/aerial reach equipment up to 80’ required. Certification preferred.
• Proven experience with abrasive blasting, hand tool cleaning, power-tool cleaning, pressure washing, and other industrial surface preparation methods
• Experience applying industrial coatings using brush, roller, and airless spray equipment
• Ability to read and understand coating specifications, product data sheets, and jobsite requirements
• Ability to work safely at heights and around moving industrial equipment
• Strong understanding of surface prep, coating application, dry film thickness, recoat windows, and general industrial painting practices
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
