Job summary

Worley is seeking an industrial painter to work on our on-site projects in Alaska. You will prepare surfaces, apply primers and finishes, and manage materials and safety on heavy equipment, buildings and structures.

The role requires 4+ years in industrial construction/maintenance, ability to work at height, and skill with spray, brush and roller application. Physical stamina and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Cover surfaces with drop cloths or tape to protect areas during painting.
• Select and mix coating additives to thin or promote drying and adhesion.
• Fill cracks and joints with caulk or putty using caulking guns or putty knives.
• Remove rust and old paint with sandblasting, power tools and related methods.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare surfaces for finish coats.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel and other finishes with brushes or rollers.
• Calculate material needs and estimate costs based on measurements.
• Set up scaffolding or ladders to work at height.
• Mix colors and adjust consistencies with thinning additives.
