Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical degree or certification in a field where painting and surface preparation is encompassed
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Effective communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, scraping, or removing dirt and rust
• Mask and protect surfaces and components not to be painted
• Mix paints and primers according to specifications
• Apply primers and coatings using spray equipment
• Inspect surfaces to identify defects and perform touch-up as needed
• Read and follow job documentation and drawings
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
