Job summary

Orion Castings is seeking an Industrial Painter for the 1st shift in Chelmsford, MA. You will spray a variety of parts to precise tolerances and specifications, using different types of paint and electrostatic systems to achieve premium finishes.

The role requires at least 2 years in industrial spray painting or advanced coating, strong attention to detail, and a safety-focused mindset. Competitive hourly pay and broad benefits are offered, with a stable day shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Skilled in achieving high-quality finish through precise paint application.
• Attention to safety and environmental procedures is required.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Obtain specified paint from inventory and prepare for use.
• Mix paint with thinner for correct viscosity; mix two-part urethane and reducer.
• Spray parts to exact customer specifications across finishes including wet and electrostatic painting.
• Inspect finished parts for adherence to specs and aesthetics; manage waste as hazardous.
• Wash spray gun and manage solvent waste; clean booth, filters, and ovens as needed.
• Move materials and maintain a clean, organized workstation to minimize dust.
