Job summary

Orion Castings’ Cambridge Division in Chelmsford, MA is seeking a Paint Robot Assistant to support industrial spray painting and robotized finishing. You will prep paints, load parts, mix finishes, and maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of industrial spray painting or equivalent automated coating experience.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual with ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Safety-conscious with proper handling of materials and waste.
• Clear communication with team and supervisors on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Paint Preparation & Mixing: Retrieve paints, mix bases with reducers to achieve correct viscosity.
• Production Painting: Assist robotic lines and manually spray parts to meet specs.
• Quality Inspection: Check coatings for defects and uniform thickness.
• System Maintenance: Keep equipment clean and maintained; replace filters as needed.
• Environmental Safety: Handle waste per safety regulations.
