About the Industrial Painter role
The Industrial Painter located in our Finishing Department is responsible for coating, linings, prepping, and finishing products and utilizing industrial paints, primers, and protective coating. The Industrial Painting role ensures products meet all safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while maintaining production schedules and standards.
What you'll be doing as the Industrial Painter
- Mixing and applying industrial coatings, epoxies, primers, and specialty finishes keeping up to manufacturer and customer specifications.
- Operating spray equipment with precision and attention to detail.
- Inspect painted surfaces making sure all surfaces are coated properly including thickness, appearance, and quality standards are met.
- Read and work through work orders, coating needs and requirements, and specifications.
- Maintain spray equipment, paint areas, and keeping all tools in proper working condition.
- Follow all safety standards regarding handling, respirator use, all hazardous materials, and always wearing the proper PPE.
- Working with multiple departments on expectations regarding needs, quality, and delivery.
- Ability to read a measuring tape along with coating specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, no exceptions.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment/area in accordance with the company and safety standards.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Work and/or Education experience for the Industrial Painter role
- High School diploma or GED Preferred.
- Previous experience in an Industrial sandblasting environment is a plus.
- STRONG safety awareness for yourself and others, no exceptions.
- Must be able to read a measuring tape and use basic mathematical skills.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of coating applications, mixing ratios, or even cure times is not a requirement but a huge plus.
Physical and Work Environment
- Exposure to the outside elements, louder environment at times, dust, and heavy equipment in an Industrial Environment.
- Ability to bend and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50+lbs and more with the proper equipment.
- This position is an on-site role within our plant - (Not remote or Hybrid) located in GILBERT, ARIZONA.
