Johnson Controls Navy Systems in York, PA is seeking an Industrial Painter to apply paints and finishes on complex units for federal Navy programs. The role involves spray painting, masking, and surface prep in booth or field settings, following specifications and process sheets.

You will mix paints, maintain spray gear, and ensure paint thickness and coverage meet standards. The position is unionized and located on site in York with relocation assistance possible.

Formación

• 1–2+ years of industrial or automotive painting experience.
• Ability to perform moderate physical effort with painting materials.
• Follow safety precautions to prevent injury.
• Work in varying exposure to paint/thinner/dirt.
• Exposure to cranes, ladders, and confined spaces.

Responsabilidades

• Paint in booth, on floor, or product using spray and brush methods.
• Prepare surfaces and masks; remove masking; inspect finish for runs or coverage.
• Mix paints to viscosity; prepare epoxy powders.
• Maintain spray equipment and paint systems.
• Interpret drawings, process sheets, and paint manufacturer instructions.
