Job summary

Afinitas is seeking an experienced painter to operate air-assisted paint equipment and downdraft booths in a plant setting. The role requires reading blueprints or sketches, prepping materials, and maintaining equipment with PPE compliance.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of experience, at least a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Flexibility and teamwork are essential for success in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years’ experience.
• Certified or ability to certify in forklift and crane operation.
• Knowledge of the use of an air-assisted paint gun.
• Experience using tape measures, rulers, protractors, and combination squares.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to pass health requirements for a respirator fit test for painting equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment needed to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate an air-assisted paint gun while wearing proper PPE.
• Prep and mask items to be painted.
• Operate both overhead and jib-style cranes.
• Operate a downdraft paint booth.
• Perform required preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
• Understand blueprints, sketches, or specifications.
• Ability to inspect structures or materials for the operation of paint booths.
• All other job duties assigned.
