Volt is hiring a Painter/Blaster in Mansfield, OH to perform abrasive surface preparation and apply complex industrial coatings. The role involves rotating between blasting, painting, and material handling to support production flow while working in PPE in a heavy industrial environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, and medical clearance with fit-testing for supplied-air systems. Experience with heavy coatings is preferred; strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Medical clearance and fit-testing required for supplied-air systems.
• Able to endure extreme physical demands (lifting, bending, kneeling).
• Experience with heavy industrial coatings such as fireproofing or epoxies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces via abrasive blasting and apply complex industrial coatings.
• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling to support production flow.
• Perform safety inspections and maintain equipment like blast cabinets and paint booths.
• Collaborate with third‑party chemical representatives to learn curing times and application techniques.
