Job summary

DeSHAZO, LLC. in Winchester, VA is seeking an Industrial Painter to apply finishing coats and prep surfaces per blueprints and customer specs. You will set up and operate painting equipment, load parts, and maintain clean, safe work areas to meet quality and on-time goals.

The role requires 1–2 years of industrial painting experience, familiarity with epoxy paints, and experience using airless sprayers. Physical stamina for long shifts and lifting up to 45 lb is needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as an Industrial Painter in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with epoxy paint is a plus; epoxy & zinc are an even greater plus.
• Experience with Airless paint sprayers required.

Responsibilities

• Paint and apply finishing coats per blueprints and customer specifications.

• Ensure components meet quality and on-time goals; load/unload parts onto fixtures.

Description

Painters use various painting techniques that will include but are not limited to wet paint spraying and several other techniques on metal parts. Material preparation such as sand blasting, cleaning, masking, among other techniques are required.

Job Duties

• Paint and apply finishing coats in accordance with blueprints and/or customer specifications.
• Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
• Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures.
• Maintain clean work areas, tool repair, and equipment inventory.
• Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjust colors and fix defects.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1-2 years of experience as an Industrial Painter in a Manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with epoxy paint is a plus, epoxy & zinc are an even greater plus.
• Candidate must have experience with Airless paint sprayers.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
• Carry/Lift up to 45 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or coworkers.
• Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
• Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or co/workers.
• Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine)
• Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
• Possess the ability to hear.
• Exposure to hot and cold conditions
• Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 12 hours per day.
• Subject to exposure to dust, vapors, and other air contaminants. PPE required.
