Job summary

Deshazo, Llc in Winchester, KY is seeking an Industrial Painter to apply finishing coats, prepare surfaces, and operate spray equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will load parts, maintain your workspace, inspect work, and follow blueprints and customer specifications.

1–2 years of painting experience and familiarity with epoxy paints and airless sprayers are preferred. Physical demands include standing most of the day, lifting up to 45 pounds with assistance, and exposure to dust; PPE is

Responsibilities

• Paint and apply finishing coats in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications.
• Set up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment safely.
• Ensure components are produced/coated efficiently and meet quality/on-time goals.
• Load and unload parts onto fixtures.
• Maintain clean work areas, repair tools, and manage equipment inventory.
• Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjust colors and fix defects.

Description

Painters use various painting techniques that will include but are not limited to wet paint spraying and several other techniques on metal parts. Material preparation such as sand blasting, cleaning, masking, among other techniques are required.

Job Duties:

• Paint and apply finishing coats in accordance with blueprints and/or customer specifications.
• Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
• Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures.
• Maintain clean work areas, tool repair, and equipment inventory.
• Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjust colors and fix defects.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1-2 years of experience as an Industrial Painter in a Manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with epoxy paint is a plus, epoxy & zinc are an even greater plus.
• Candidate must have experience with Airless paint sprayers.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
• Carry/Lift up to 45 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or coworkers.
• Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
• Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or co/workers.
• Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine)
• Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
• Possess the ability to hear.
• Exposure to hot and cold conditions
• Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 12 hours per day.
• Subject to exposure to dust, vapors, and other air contaminants. PPE required.
