Job Summary

Insight Global’s client is seeking a detail-oriented Painter to join their sign shop team. The Painter will be responsible for applying paints, coatings, and specialty finishes to signs, displays, and various materials. This role requires a strong eye for color, precision, and quality to ensure vibrant, durable finishes that meet customer specifications and industry standards

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare sign surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
• Mix and apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, spray guns, or airbrush equipment.
• Apply vinyl overlays, decals, and specialty finishes as part of the painting process.
• Ensure precise color matching and finish quality per project specifications.
• Maintain painting tools, spray booths, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with designers and fabricators to meet production deadlines and quality goals.
• Inspect finished signs for defects and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed. Required

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing painting or a related field.
• Proficiency in spray painting and airbrushing techniques.
• Ability to work with a variety of materials: metal, plastic, wood, and vinyl.
• Strong attention to detail and color accuracy.
• Familiarity with surface preparation and finishing processes.
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Nice to Have

• Background in a sign shop, commercial art, or related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in a related field.
• Experience in automotive painting and preparation.
