Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior/exterior surfaces, trimmings, and building fixtures/structures.
- Paint, patch, and repair all walls and coated surfaces in the building.
- Order all materials and equipment. Submit bids regarding any building damage by clients for restitution.
- Stencil and paint building equipment.
- Periodically perform Field Crew tasks as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding.
- Paint and remove paint as needed.
- Construct and install temporary signage to meet client needs.
- Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and motorized aerial work platforms.
- Operate mechanized equipment when required to perform tasks listed above.
- Report all matters that affect work projects to the Lead Painter/Carpenter or Management.
- Participate in safety training and serve on the building Safety Committee as assigned.
- Perform special projects as assigned by management.
- Work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
